
MIGRENO LOSES CLOSE DECISION IN ASIAN BOXING COUNCIL TITLE FIGHT

Rey Migreno has lost a close majority decision to WBC Asian Boxing Council flyweight champion Nawaphon Por Chokchai in a title fight in Samut Prakan, Thailand.
With the win the 20 year old Thai improved his record to 7-0 with 5 knockouts while the 25 year old Migreno dropped to 15-18-3 with 13 knockouts.
Nawaphon successfully defended the vacant title he won with a 3rd round TKO of 30 year old Alwi Alhabsyi of Indonesia on October 11 last year.
Migreno was coming off a 3rd round TKO victory over Ryan Soliveres last November 26.
Migreno had earlier lost by a 4th round TKO to Sonny Boy Jaro in an IBF Pan Pacific interim light flyweight title fight on June 18, 2011.
Another Filipino, Dondon Jimenea dropped a 4th round technical decision to Srisaket Sor Rungvisai after Jinenez was badly cut due to an accidental head-butt and the referee went to the scorecards of the three judges who had Srisaket ahead.
The win pushed 25 year old Srisaket?s record to 12-1 with 11 knockouts while Jimenea fell to 27-17-1 with 14 knockouts.
Srisaket won the WBC Asian Boxing Council super flyweight title with a 4th round knockout of Yudi Arema of Indonesia last November 4 while Jimenea was coming off a 5th round TKO of Rocky Sardido last December 22.
