One of the biggest upsets in heavyweight boxing history if not in the history of sports will take the spotlight in ?Super Fights? telecast by AKTV over IBC 13 January 10 at 9:00 p.m.

Its the February 11, 1990 shocker between undisputed and undefeated ?Iron Mike? Tyson and big Buster Douglas at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Douglas, a 42 to 1 underdog, clearly showed from the opening bell that he had no fear of Tyson who held the WBC/WBA and IBF titles. He let his hands fly whenever he saw an opening to attack Tyson and used his quick left jab to prevent Tyson from getting inside where he could be devastating.

Whenever Tyson got inside the bigger Douglas tied him up and quickly moved away while throwing flurries.

A ringside report on the fight said that while Tyson was able to connect with a few of his deadly uppercuts, Douglas managed to dominate the bout and Tyson?s left eye began to swell as Douglas nailed him with big right hands.

In the dying seconds of the eighth Tyson who had been pushed towards the ropes caught Douglas with a huge, right uppercut that sent him to the canvas.

Douglas was up at the count of nine but his promoter Don King argued that it was a long count, to no avail in the end.

In what was described as a dramatic 9th round Tyson came charging out of his corner and tried to capitalize on the previous round knockdown but Douglas was able to fend off Tyson?s attack.

In a furious exchange of punches Douglas caught Tyson with a four-punch combination that staggered the champion. With Tyson hurt along the ropes, Douglas closed in and unleashed a vicious attack to try to knock Tyson out. Tyson tried to fight Douglas off but it was in vain. Douglas continued to land hard punches on Tyson as the round came to a close. Tyson withstood the punishment and barely survived the 9th round.

Tyson who was clearly hurting from the punches of Douglas, stalked the challenger who set him up with a couple of jabs in round ten before connecting with a devastating uppercut that snapped Tyson?s head and stopped him dead in his tracks.

Sensing Tyson was in deep trouble, Douglas landed four punches to the head , dropping Tyson for the very first time in his career. Tyson who was groggy, fumbled for his mouthpiece on the canvas before sticking one end in his mouth with the other end hanging out. Tyson attempted to make it back to his feet to continue fighting but referee Octavio Meyran of Mexico counted him out.

Buster Douglas was proclaimed the new undisputed heavyweight champion and the fight, highlights of which will be seen on ?Super Fights? became one of the biggest upsets in boxing history.

Also featured on ?Super Fights? will be the clash between Nigel ?The Dark Destroyer? Benn, the talented British super middleweight champion who scored a 3rd round TKO over Canadian contender Dan Sherry on February 19, 1992 and ?Sugar Shane? Mosley?s third welterweight title defense against Britain?s Adrian ?The Predator? Stone at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on July 21, 2001. It was when Mosley was recognized as the pound for pound king.

Referee Jay Nady stopped the contest at 2:01 of the third round as Mosley dominated Stone who was being battered by the quick hands and power of Mosley.
