World Boxing Council President Don Jose Sulaiman has announced that the WBC will try to convince all female professional boxers in the world to have mammograms done so that breast cancer can be prevented in accordance with the periods of time advised by physicians.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia saus mammography ?is the process of using low energy X rays (usually around 30 kVp) to examine the human breast and is used as a diagnostic and screening tool.?

It says the goal of mammography is the early detection of breat cancer, typically through detection of the characteristic masses and/or microcalcifications.?

Wikipedia noted that ?most doctors believe that mammography reduces deaths from breast cancer although a minority do not.?

The World Boxing Council will take care of the corresponding expenses of such important medical examinations of all the ladies of the world that have a license as professional boxers.

President Sulaiman, has been in communication with all the chairmen of the affiliated confederations of 164 countries so that the take care of the participation of all the women in professional boxing in their confederations, no matter if they are or not World Boxing Council champions.

Some years ago as women?s boxing began to attract fans, the WBC decided to start ranking fighters. Sulaiman said, at that time, ?what we want is to bring strong safety measures to women?s boxing.?

In fact the WBC sanctioned its first women?s title bout in Tijuana, Mexico on February 28, 2005 when Nava scored a 7th round TKO over Martha Leticia Arevalo for the vacant female bantamweight title at the Palenque del Hipodromo in Tijuana, Baja California.

Referee Juan Jose Ramirez stopped the bout at 0:59 of the round. Jackie Nava is currently managed by reigning WBC light welterweight champion Erik ?El Terrible? Morales.
