Three-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez put on a special exhibition with undefeated WBO junior welterweight champion Timothy Bradley at the picturesque Santa Anita park in Arcadia, California a buildup to his November 12 showdown against pound for pound king and ?Fighter of the Decade? Manny Pacquiao and once again claimed he had beaten Pacquiao in their first two fights but was robbed of the decision.
Thousands of fans showed up at the race track to greet Marquez who appeared to enjoy the attention as he waved to them and smiled.
Bradley who recently signed up with Top Rank is expected to face Pacquiao somewhere down the road depending on the result of the showdown with Marquez and the Filipino congressman?s future plans.
Bradley will face Cuba?s Joel Casamayor who lost to Marquez by an 11th round TKO on September 13, 2008.
Marquez was quoted by Jannelle So of the popular Los Angeles TV shown Kababayan LA who files reports for ABC 5 and its sports network AKTV 13 said Marquez told her he weighed 141 pounds which us three pounds below the 144 pound catch-weight which he asked for in the WBO welterweight title fight against Pacquiao.
Marquez said ?We have the speed for this fight and I?m not having any trouble with my weight. This is the best training camp of my 18-year career. I have already left the last two fight behind me. He (Manny Pacquiao) knows and the fans know that I won both those fights. I will leave everything in the ring on November 12th.?
