Pan Asia Boxing Association light flyweight interim champion Randy Petalcorin has a tune-up fight over eight rounds in Zamboanga del Sur this Sunday.
Petalcorin's manager, well known Australian promoter and KO TV Boxing host Peter Maniatis told Viva Sports that the interim champion fights Rocky Sardido over eight rounds.
Maniatis also informed us that he had received an email from the PABA's Alan Kim stating that Nethra the PABA Light flyweight champion will fight for a WBA interim world title in Mexico.
Maniatis said "this news means that Nethra is no longer the PABA champion and interim PABA Champion Randy Petalcorin is now elevated to the full PABA light flyweight champion."
Meantime, Maniatis disclosed that he had sent a container full of Everlast equipment to General Santos for the SANDMAN gym that Randy train's in including Everlast sparring gloves for everyone - skipping ropes, Everlast shorts, Everlast head guards, Everlast speed balls, and also Everlast punch focus mitts,
The generous Australian promoter said "l am sure this will benefit the Sandman gym having new Everlast equipment for our boxers."
The sandman gym also has Fernando Lumacad fighting on the Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez undercard which Maniatis branded as "a huge chance for Lumacad to shine on the World stage,"
Lumacad had a draw in Cebu over 12 rounds with current WBC super flyweight World champion Suriyan Sor Rungvisai. Maniatis said " we have to forgive Lumacad for losing to Jorge "Travieso" Arce when he got caught with a bomb of a right hand of the Mexican warrior. Lumacad has lear ed and improved after his loss to Arce and looks ready to for fill his potential as an outstanding boxer."
