
PINOY PRIDE IX TURNS IN REMARKABLE TV RATINGS

ABS-CBN?s telecast of the ?Pinoy Pride IX? fight card bannered by the main event featuring former WBO minimum weight champion Donnie Nietes and Mexico?s WBO light flyweight champion Ramon ?Principe? Garcia Hirales turned in remarkable ratings.
The national ratings of the coverage over Channel 2 was 14 percent while in Mega Manila it rated 10.5 percent and Metro Manila 10.8 percent.
In the suburbs the telecast rated a flat 10.0 percent with the balance of Luzon turning in a rating of 12.1 percent.
Northern Luzon rated 14.4 percent while Central Luzon had a much lower 6.9 percent while Southern Luzon had a much higher 15.7 percent.
The Visayas region where Nietes comes from having been born in the municipality of Murcia in Negros , rated a remarkable 23.7 percent while Mindanao also register an equally high 21.8 percent.
The supporting main event featured AJ ?Bazooka? Banal defending his WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title against previously undefeated Mexican Mario ?Maca? Briones.
