
MANCIO LOSES BY 4TH ROUND KO IN OPBF TITLE BID

Jerson ?Smooth Operator? Mancio, the No. 1 ranked contender has lost by a 4th round knockout to Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation light flyweight champion Ryo Miyazaki in a title fight at the IMP Hall in Osaka, Japan.
Miyazaki won the title with an 8th round TKO over Katsuhiko Iezumi on June 14, 2010 while Mancio won the Philippine title with a unanimous twelve round decision over Jason Canoy last May 15.
With the KO win in 0;26 seconds of the fourth round, the hard-hitting Miyazaki improved his unbeaten record to 15-0-3 with 9 knockouts while Mancio dropped to 13-2-3 with 5 knockouts.
In a supporting bout on the card, Larry ?Bon Jovi? Canillas lost a unanimous six round decision to Yuta Uetani with the three judges scoring the fight for the Japanese by margins of 60-56, 59-56 and 58-57.
The 22 year old Uetani was coming off back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Filipino Jerope Mercado (Zuiyama) on November 7, 2010 and Yuki Murai last April10.
The 22 year old Canillas won the Pan Asian Boxing Association super bantamweight title with a 9th round TKO over Sukkasem Kietyongyuth in Ratchaburi, Thailand on April 22 this year.
