Promising minimum weight Ivan Soriano has continued his domination of Thai opponents with a 4th round knockout of Petchsopha Por Suwannachoke in Bangkok, Thailand.
Soriano caught Petchsopha with a series of vicious body shots to send him crashing to the canvas in pain at :54 seconds of the fourth round.
The win, Soriano?s third straight demolition of a Thai fighter in five straight wins by knockout, improved his record to 11-1 with 6 knockouts.
The 22 year old Filipino is trained by Jun Agrabio and managed by Dr. Rajan Yraola, the team that worked together with promoter Sammy Gello-ani to help ?Marvelous? Marvin Sonsona win the WBO world super flyweight championship beating Puerto Rico?s Jose ?Carita? Lopez on September 4, 2009 in Ontario, Canada.
Super bantamweight Paul Apolinario however lost by a 1st round knockout to 23 year old Thai Sukkasem Kietyongyuth which brought Apolinario?s record down to 10-9-2 with 6 knockouts.
The loss to Sukkasem was Apolinario?s fifth in his last six fights with one d raw raising serious questions about the Games and Amusements Board?s approval of the obvious mismatch.
Sukkasem?s only loss so far was against hard-hitting Larry ?Bon Jovi? Canillas last April 22 when Canillas won the Pan Asian Boxing Association super bantamweight title with a 9th round TKO.
