PHILIPPINE DRAGON BOAT TEAM, DR. RAMIREZ TO GRACE PHILSCA SPORTS COMPETITION WEDNESDAY

THE Philippine State College of Aeronautics (PHILSCA) Intercolor games gets underway on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at the Villamor Air Base in Pasay City with member and officials of the Philippines Dragon Boat Federation team and PHILSCA president Dr. Bernard R. Ramirez gracing the opening ceremonies.

"PHILSCA is ready to host the Intercolor games. Everything is in place for the hosting of the annual sports competition," declared Gigi Abalos-Manaog, over-all in charge in the said sports competition.

The members and officials of the Philippine Dragon Boat Federation team and PHILSCA president Dr. Bernard R. Ramirez, are expected to deliver their inspirational messages to the participants of the three-day affair which ends on Friday.

"Malaking inspirasyon sa mga atleta at estudyante ng PHILSCA ang pagdating ng miyembro at opisyales ng Philippine Dragon Boat Federation team na nagbigay ng karangalan sa ating bansa sa nakaraang 10th International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships sa Tampa, Florida. Maraming salamat din sa walang humpay na suporta sa sports ni PHILSCA president Dr. Bernard R. Ramirez," she added.

It shall recalled that the Philippines Dragon Boat Federation team has set new world records in the events they have dominated at the recently concluded 10th International Dragon Boat Federation World Championships in Tampa, Florida, in winning the 1000-m men's event, the 200-m men's event, the 500-m men's event, the 200-m mixed event, and the 500-m mixed event, getting a total haul of 7 medals with 5 gold and 2 silvers.

PHILSCA top and promising athletes will compete in Basketball, Volleyball, Badminton, Arnis, Sepak Takraw, Taekwondo, Chess, Table Tennis, Cheerdance, Dodgeball, Tug of War, Shower ball and Patintero. Added the attraction the beauty contest search for Mr. and Ms. PHILSCA.
