Former two time world light flyweight champion Brian Viloria is in the best shape of his life and is ready for his title fight against WBO flyweight champion Julio Cesar ?Pingo? Miranda of Mexico at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday.

Viloria?s manager Gary Gittelsohn told the Daily Inquirer that the 30 year old Viloria who is now in Hawaii was ?in the best shape of his life and is ready to become a three-time champion? although he predicted ?it will be a tough fight.?

Viloria himself, in an interview from Hawaii said ?training has been excellent and one of the best camps I?ve had in a long time. I?ve been training since January for this fight and I?m ready and really looking forward to it. I really can?t wait anymore.?

Viloria said he is mentally focused and has ?no worries, I?m really confident and in very high spirits and I just want to go in there and do my thing.?

The former two-time light flyweight champion said he is far more comfortable fighting as a flyweight and ?really don?t know how I made 108. It gives you an idea of how much work I put in to come down to 108. ?

Having watched tapes of Miranda, Viloria said ?he is a tough fighter who goes in there and wants to exchange and wants to take his opponents out with his aggressive style but sometimes he is open and throws a lot of wild punches and drops his hands a lot. He has weaknesses that I can exploit.?

Viloria said he had sparred over 150 rounds and went ten and 12 rounds the other day making it ?a tough camp but a fulfilling camp.? He said he had no name sparring partners but worked out with Mexicans and Japanese who duplicated the style of Miranda ?who switched around a lot and had an aggressive style so I could get adjusted.?

Viloria is trained by Mario Morales who was also the trainer of the late world champion Edwin Valero and Reuben Gomez who has ?been in my corner since the first time I fought.?

Viloria (28-3, 16 KO?s) has been training at the Kalihi Gym in Honolulu and the Maywood Gym in California in a determined effort to prove he still has what it takes to win another world title in a higher weight division ruled by the 31 year old Miranda who has a record of 35-5-1 with 28 knockouts.

ABC TV 5 will telecast an exciting double-header from two corners of the world with the Viloria-Miranda title fight from Honolulu back-to-back with the ten round welterweight tune-up bout from Cancun, Mexico between Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez ( 52-5-1, 38 KO?s) and Colombian southpaw Likar Ramos ( 24-3, 18 KO?s).
