MAYOL WINS BY MAJORITY DECISION OVER GALLO AND OTHEREARLY RESULTS

MGM GRAND, LAS VEGAS -- Former Filipino world champion Rodel Mayol won his fight against Javier Gallo of Tijuana, Mexico via majority decision. Two judges had it 98-92 for Mayol while the third judge scored it 95-95 draw. Mayol has now upped his record to 28-5-2 with 21 knockouts.

Earlier fight results:


Jesse Benavides (11-0-0 10KO) of Los Angeles, CA beat James Hope (6-8-1 4KO) of South Carolina via TKO at 1:43 round 4. The referee stopped the fight.


Pier Olivier Cote of Quebec, Canada won by TKO in the 4th round over Ariz Ambriz of California.


Karl Dragan (9-0-0 4KO) of Pennsylvania beat Randy Arrellin (8-5-0 4KO) of Albuquerque, New Mexico via 6 round unanimous decision.
