UICAB RETAINS WBC SILVER LT. FLYWEIGHT TITLE

WBC silver flyweight champion Wilberth ?Hurricane? Uicab (32-5-1, 18 KOs) has retained his title with a majority decision over Silvio Oltenau (11-5,5 KOs) of Romania on Sunday, Manila Time, at Playa Mamita?s in Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo, Mexico.
The 27 year old Uicab won the title from the Philippines Edrin Dapudong on September 17, 2010 with a twelve round unanimous decision.
Dapudong?s manager, former North Cotabato governor Manny Pinol claimed that Dapudong had several unexplained cuts on his right arm, shoulder and back after the fight and produced photographs along with a complaint. However, nothing came of it.
