MORALES LOSES IN WBC INTERNATIONAL TITLE BID

Noli Morales has lost in his bid to win the WBC International Silver minimum weight title losing to Thailand?s Wanheng Menayothin in Sara Buri on Friday.

The 25 year old Menayothin who won the interim title with a twelve round unanimous decision over another Filipino Jayson Rotoni on December 24, 2009 bear Morales by a sixth round technical decision with all three judges scoring the fight for the defending champion 59-55.

With the win Menayothin improved his record to 16-0 with 4 knockouts while the southpaw Morales, according to boxrec.com dropped to 4-1 with 2 knockouts.

Menayothin previously defended his title against Remy Chambot winning by a ten round technical decision on January 6 this year.

Morales, on the other hand, was coming off a 9th round knockout of Jomar Elorde on February 12 last year.
