
BUHAY BOKSINGERO GETS UNDERWAY (PHOTOS)

CEBU CITY -- GMA7's Buhay Boksingero (Boxer's Life) boxing show went underway last night at the Inayawan Sports Complex here with 10 4-rounder pairs of mostly debuting professionals exchanged leathers to vie for fame and glory. The road to Manny Pacquiao is long and difficult and 10 aspirants piled up a point each after registering contrasting wins in this match-up tournament.

Jobert Alvarez TD win over Junior Salvador (108 lbs)
Reymond Salvador MD win over Jessie Dignos (112 lbs)
Renoel Pael UD win over Gelvert Magos (112 lbs)
Gerpaul Valero TKO 3 win over Julito Catubay (115 lbs)
Jerome Baja MD win over Rommil Acruz (115 lbs)
Jessie Cris Rosales UD win over Memar Dula (122 lbs)
Robbie Sentillas KO 3 win over John Edu Torbiso (122 lbs)
Anecito Dondon Gesta SD win over Rodel Wenceslao (130 lbs)
Leonard Nicanor TKO 3 win over Jejito Imbo (130 lbs)
The show is also some kind of a tournament among the local boxing stables and after last night's initial salvo, TI Cebu Boxing Gym run by Brix Flores came out the big winner with 3 of its 4 entries (Pael, Valero and Sentillas) came out victorious. Wakee Salud's RWS stable only got 2 wins out of 5 entries; PhilAust Gym was 2 out of 4; Gesta Gym 1 of 3; Donaire Sr stable 1 of 1; SGG stable 1 of 1 and Sta Cruz Gym 0 of 2.
Next rounds will be on April 9, May 14, June 11 and July 15.
