GESTA VS TRAZANCOS THIS FRIDAY

Filipino southpaw Mercito Gesta (20-0-1-10 KO) implied that his opponent Genaro Trazancos of Mexico (22-13-1, 13KO) might need his teeth fixed after he receives "NO MERCY" on their rematch Friday night. Not quite the quote, but it would have been apt for his press conference at a dentist office located inside a seafood grocery.
Gesta's quest for the world crown starts Friday February 18th, 700pm @ the Longshoreman's Hall at the fabled Fisherman's Wharf. Hall of Fame promoter Don Chargin and Golden Boy Promotions presents "War at the Wharf" to be featured by Telefutura on "Tecate's Solo Boxeo".
"Mercito Gesta is the brightest undefeated lightweight around. His humble demeanor and ferocity in the ring will catapult him into stardom within the next 12-18 months. He's a special fighter that people will come to realize much sooner than later. Don Chargin has been bringing Mercito along perfectly over the past several years and it will show this Friday and for the rest of his career." This according to John Chavez of TheBoxingTruth.com.
"The last big card in San Francisco was in November 2001 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. Two superstars shone that night...WBC 130-lb champ Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather, Jr. made Jesus Chavez quit on his stool. Then 122-pound IBF champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao drew with WBO titleist Agapito Sanchez in a unification bout. Don's promotion has the makings of another sell-out," boxing man Hammerin' Hermie Rivera stated.
