Manny,

Nasa likod mo ang sambayanan sa iyong mga laban. Salamat sa pagbabandila sa mundo ng dedikasyon at kahusayan ng Pilipino. (THE WHOLE OF OUR COUNTRY IS BEHIND YOU IN ALL OF YOUR FIGHTS. THANK YOU FOR SHOWING THE WORLD THE FILIPINO'S DEDICATION AND SKILL)

Ang bawat laban mo ay nagbibigay karangalan sa ating bayan. Salamat sa patuloy na pagiging inspirasyon sa maraming Pilipino. (ALL OF YOUR FIGHTS BRING HONOR TO OUR NATION. THANK YOU FOR SERVING AS INSPIRATION TO FILIPINOS)

Pangulong Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino, III President Republic of the Philippines

Two Filipino champions join forces for one mission possible --uplift the Pinoy spirit on the world stage.

Today, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao will attempt an unprecedented feat -- win an eighth world title in as many weight divisions --in his much awaited bout against Antonio Margarito of Tijuana, Mexico. At stake is the WBC light-middleweight (154 lb.) championship at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington,Texas.
President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino joins millions of our countrymen and Pinoy ex-patriates worldwide in conveying our hopes and prayers for Manny Pacquiao.

"Manny's speed, complemented by?his vaunted ring versatility, should work well against Antonio?all night long. So that when an opportunity comes 'a-knockin' at Margarito's door, Pacquiao would long be gone for congress for his belated address," this from Filipino boxing scholar Hammerin' Hermie Rivera.

"Maligayang bati po ang pinararating natin kay Manny Pacquiao. Kasabay po natin ang buong bansa sa nagsasabing nais nating magtagumpay siya (We are sending our best wishes to Manny Pacquiao. We are one with the nation wishing for his victory)," expressed Presidential Communications Operations Office chief Herminio "Sonny" Coloma.

"President Aquino's heartfelt message encompasses what we Pinoys feel everytime Manoy fights," GMANews.tv's inimitable 24-Oras Saksi Chino Trinidad intimated.

Note from the author: We, Filipino-American respiratory therapists, nurses, doctors and healthcare professionals from the San Francisco Bay Area, join President Noynoy and the 100 million Filipinos in wishing the very best for Congressman Emmanuel "Manny" Pacquiao, Mrs. Jinkee Pacquiao and their family.
Mabuhay!
