CEBU CITY ? A straight left by Jimrex Jaca that landed squarely to the jaw Pipino Cuevas Jr, son of Mexican legend Pipino Cuevas Sr, at 2:22 of the first round ended the bout early as Cuevas failed to beat the count at the Waterfront Hotel & Casino here. Earlier in the round, Jaca, now sporting a 31-6-3 record with 16KOs, tagged Cuevas with a beautiful left uppercut that wobbled the Mexican, foreshadowing of the things to come.
