There?s been some back and forth exchanges between pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao and Top Rank promoter Bob Arum over the numbers for the planned November 13 WBC light middleweight title fight against Antonio Margarito at the Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Pacquiao?s adviser Michael Koncz who shuttles back and forth between the promoter and his prized fighter told us he is definitely leaving for Los Angeles on Tuesday and that he doesn?t forsee any problem in finalizing the deal.

Koncz told insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports that when he returned from Abu Dhabi he ?had the numbers in hand and Manny and I have gone over them twice now and I?ve called back Arum a couple of days ago after we modified some of the numbers.?

He revealed that on Sunday night in Pacquiao?s home in General Santos City they went over the modifications adding ?we are very close and I think what needs to be done now can be done on the phone.?

Koncz noted that Margarito?s hearing before the California State Commission which suspended him for one year after he was found to have an illegal substance in his hand-wraps before the Shane Mosley fight, is on Thursday.

No matter how the California Commission acts Koncz told us ?we believe strongly that within the next day or two he (Margarito) will be licensed in Texas which is one of the main reasons for going to Texas with the fight.?

The California State Athletic Commission will meet from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) with the only item on the agenda being the application for a professional boxer license by Antonio Margarito.

The meeting will be held at the Ronald Reagan State Office Press Room on the 5th Floor of the North Tower.

The chairman of the Commission is John Frierson and the other commissioners are Christopher Giza who is vice chairman, Van Lemons M.D, Steve Alexander, DeWayne Zinkin and Eugene Hernandez.
