Allan Jay Tunacao has stunned previously undefeated Daniel ?Baby Face? Iannazzo to win the WBO Asia Pacific super bantamweight title with a twelve round split decision win at the Town Hall in Coburg, Victoria.

Tunacao who hails from Mandaue City and belongs to a prominent boxing family in the Philippines is just 22 years of age and has a record of 10-2-3 with 3 knockouts.

A solid boxer rather than a heavy puncher, Tunacao?s win over Iannazzo was his tenth straight since a split decision loss to popular Larry ?Bon Jovi? Canillas of the famed ALA Gym on May 12, 2008.

Iannazzo, rated No. 1 by the Australian National Boxing Federation suffered his first defeat after 17 wins, 6 coming by way of knockouts. He was coming off a 6th round TKO over tough Indonesian Rivo Rengkung to win the WBO Asia Pacific Youth Championship on March 18, 2010 and was heavily favored to beat Tunacao.

However, at the Coolangatta and Tweed Heads Golf Club in New South Wales, Filipino Jack Asis dropped a six round unanimous decision to Australian featherweight and 2004 Athens Olympian Ryan ?Iron Man? Langham.

The 28 year old Australian southpaw who is ranked No. 2 by the Australian National Boxing Federation improved to 12-1 with 5 knockouts while Asis dropped to 21-14-4 with 10 knockouts.

Asis had earlier lost by a 5th round knockout to heavy handed Thai fighter Terdsak ?Pit Bull? Jandaeng in a WBC Asian Boxing Council title fight on November 13, 2009.
