JONATHAN BA-AT WINS IN JAPAN

Bantamweight Jonathan Ba-at of the Philippines has scored a 4th round TKO over Japan?s Daisuke Ochi in a fight card at the Sangyo Hall in Hiroshima.

It was the 29 year old Ba-at?s sixth straight win after a ten round unanimous decision loss to Kohei Oba on October 14, 2007. Oba is currently rated No. 5 by the WBC and No. 9 by the WBA, the only two international organizations recognized by the Japan Boxing C omission.

On the other hand it was the third straight loss suffered by the 23 year old Ochi and his first fight against a non-Japanese.

He lost by a last round TKO in an eight round bout against Masahito Igawa on March 17 this year after dropping an 8th round unanimous decision to Satoshi Niwa on November 9, 2009.In his last fight Ba at who improved to 14-3-2 with 7 knockouts defeated Thailand?s Chattorn Kiattorbdrubol by a ten round unanimous decision last December 6, 2009.
