The Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission Keith Kizer claims the NSAC has made what he termed ?sensible changes? to its policy on drug testing over the years.

Kizer told us the changes were undertaken to ?further ensure a clean sport? with reference to boxing.

He said the public meeting held last week by the NSAC to which it invited ?persons with knowledge of steroid/drug testing as well as the general public? to make their views known.

Among those who gave testimony were Dr. Robert Voy, Dr. David Watson, US Anti Doping Agency head Travis Tygart and Patrick English.

Kizer didn?t comment on the testimonies but said ?it was appreciated.?

The NSAC Executive Director told us ?we will see where this leads? but gave us the impression that it would take some time before any definitive statement would be made on any action taken.

The so-called public meeting was the offshoot of unsubstantiated claims by Floyd Mayweather Jr, his father and uncle and Golden Boy Promotions top executives, CEO Richard Schaefer and Oscar De La Hoya that pound-for-pound king and "Fighter of the Decade" Manny Pacquiao was on performance enhancing drugs.
