Asiad preparations, Phil. Chess Academy on tap for Friday?s SCOOP sa KAMAYAN

Discussion on the Filipino athletes? preparations for the coming Asian Games and other international competitions continues in today?s SCOOP Sa Kamayan weekly session at the Kamayan Restaurant-Padre Faura.

Soft Tennis Association president Jeff Tamayo and Billiards and Snooker head Bong Ilagan will be talking about the gains so far achieved by their respective athletes as well as problems they are encountering in honing themselves up for this year?s 16th Asiad set this November in Guangzhou, China.

Also during the session, sponsored by ACCEL, Tamayo, a retired Air Force Colonel, will also be tackling the latest in preparations for the country?s participation in the Asian Beach Games in December in Oman where he is the national delegation?s chef de mission.

Also attending today?s forum are Chess Grandmasters Eugene Torre and Jason Gonzales will be announcing the opening of the first ever chess academy in the country.
Discussion starts at 11 a.m. and will be aired at 3 p.m. over Sports Radio.
