GENERAL SANTOS CITY (March 28) ? Knockout artist Jether Oliva goes for another strong outing tonight when he defends his Mindanao Professional Boxing Federation (MPBF) light flyweight crown against Rogen Flores whom he already beat via a fifth round technical decision win last February.

The General Santos boxing hopeful totes an unbeaten record of 12 wins with nine knockouts as against the 9-4-1 (win-loss-draw) slate of Flores.

Oliva vowed to give a good showing tonight as he is being eyed as another talent by a big sports production company.

The 21-year old KO artist has sparred with the likes of former world flyweight champion Florante Condes and World Cup gold medalist Harry Ta?amor.

He is topbilling the maiden offering of JM Promotions tonight at the Oval Plaza covered court area.

In the main supporting event, another promising prospect Ray Las Pi?as will go for the MPBF bantamweight crown against veteran Arnold Montojo.

Oliva and Las Pi?as are managed by JC Boy Mananquil of the JM Boxing Stable.

Also appearing in the undercard are Paul Apolinario who will trade mitts with War Bartiquil and Michael Rodriguez who will square off with Noel Adelmita.

Making their pro debuts are Randy Petalcurin who goes against McDo Lungay and Janjan Gello-ani who will be up against Alex Tubigon.

Four more professional bouts will round up the card billed as South Bay Showdown.

Several amateur match-ups will spice up the boxing card.

Admission is free.
