Cebu City -- Manny Pacquiao's close friend and adviser Rex 'Wakee' Salud is now in favor of the 50-50 agreement stipulated under the May 2 fight contract that has yet to be signed by the Pacquiao and Hatton camps.

Salud, who previously issued a a statement saying that Pacquiao should at least get 60 per cent of the PPV shares, says that after Top Rank president Bob Arum called him last night (PI time) he's now convinced that a 50-50 percentage sharing is just fair.

"Bob Arum called me and he explained beautifully why Manny is not in any way disadvantaged with the 50-50 sharing," Salud told PhilBoxing. "The clincher is that Manny also gets 50% from TV rights proceeds in Britain."

Salud said he will try to talk to Pacquiao today and says that "hopefully the contract will be signed soon."

The Pacquiao-Hatton fight has been considered locked until the percentage issue came out two days ago that threatened its cancellation.

The Los Angeles Times reported that Arum contacted Pacquiao's key advisers Wednesday and all of them are now on board.

The Pacquiao-Hatton fight which most likely will be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas during the Cinco de Mayo weekend is the year's biggest and most anticipated fight in boxing and this early fans from both camps are now genuinely excited about the meeting of the two top draw and all-action packed fighters in the sport.
