Two of the best trainers in the world, two-time ?Trainer of the Year? Freddie Roach and the Mexican master Ignacio ?Nacho? Beristain will get it on in an international media conference call which will be one of several such events leading up to the ?Dream Match? between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and ?The Golden Boy? Oscar De La Hoya.

The showdown which will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on December 6 has had its fair share of twists and turns with Roach claiming that the appointment of veteran trainer Angelo Dundee as a consultant meant De La Hoya was unhappy and things were not going well in his Big Bear ctraining camp.

Roach who has an uncanny knack of irritating his opponents camp also claimed that sparring partner Victor ?Vicious? Ortiz had been fired by De La Hoya after he ?beat him up? in a sparring session.

There appeared to be some basis for the rumor which was promptly dismissed by Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schafer and vice president and international matchmaker Eric Gomez when WBA super featherweight champion, undefeated Edwin Valero showed up at De La Hoya?s training camp.

Roach and Beristain have gone at each other in the past during the two exciting but controversial title fights between Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez who lost his WBC super featherweight title in a controversial split decision to Pacquiao with both Marquez and Beristain insisting that Marquez won that fight.

In their latest squabble Roach said that De La Hoya was ageing, ?can?t pull the trigger? and would be knocked out by Pacquiao which Beristain answered by predicting that Pacquiao would get a bad beating. He got some support from Dundee who said he believes Pacquiao hasn?t a chance.
Perhaps to calm possible outbursts by both trainers, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum will be with Roach while Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer will join Beristain.
