IBF/IBO flyweight champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire says he is prepared to move up in weight and fight newly-crowned WBC/WBA and IBF champion Vic ?The Raging Bull? Darchinyan ?anytime, anywhere.?

In an overseas telephone conversation with www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports, Donaire was responding to the challenge of Darchinyan right after the former world flyweight champion smashed heavily favored WBC/WBA ?super champion? Cristian Mijares in nine rounds at the Home Depot Center in Carson City, California.

Darchinyan's demolition of Mijares came shortly before Donaire scored a 6th round TKO over mandatory challenger Moruti Mthalane at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

Drachinyan immediately called out his pet peeve, Donaire, who later in the exciting weekend of boxing scored a 6th round TKO over game South African challenger Moruti Mthalane in a mandatory title bout at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in a fight telecast by Solar Sports over CS/9.

Darchinyan vowed ?I will destroy Donaire, even easier than I beat Mijares? pointing out that he kept his promise to destroy Mijares and prove all the writers who picked the Mexican, wrong.

Darchinyan recalled ?I said I would show my skills and power and knock him (Mijares) out and I kept my promise? confidently predicting he would do the same to Donaire.

Darchinyan who was stopped in the 5th round by Donaire on July 7, last year with a perfectly-timed left hook which won Donaire the "Knockout of the Year" award has refused to admit he was badly beaten.

While Donaire was impressed with Darchinyan?s performance he was certainly not awed. In response to Drachinyan?s bragging the cool and collected Donaire said ?I will fight him anytime, anywhere? except that promoter Gary Shaw who handles Drachinyan and Top Rank?s Bob Arum who promotes Donaire ?are not very friendly with each other right now.?

Donaire said a fight against Drachinyan ?might be a long road.?

However, Donaire who said he was ?feeling very good? the day after successfully defending his IBF/IBO flyweight titles and was enjoying the luxury of a hearty meal. Donaire said he enjoyed the buffet at lunch and was looking forward ?to a big dinner tonight so I?m happy.?

There were speculations that Donaire?s somewhat disappointing performance against Mthalane was because he had problems reducing but both Nonito and his father/trainer Nonito Donaire Sr said he had no problems making the weight and said the long layoff of nearly one year since he scored an 8th round stoppage of Luis Mkadonado in December 2007 was the reason besides his broken finger.

The long absence from the ring had been attributed to Shaw who failed to get Donaire a fight promoting Arum to step in, take over the promotional rights and showed his undoubted ability by getting Donaire a title defense soon after.

Arum has told us in the past he?s got two possible venues in mind ? Manila or Macau and two champions in mind for Donaire?s first attempt to win the super flyweight title ? WBA interim champion Jorge Arce or WBO champion Fernando Montiel. To Donaire, it doesn?t really matter who he fights as long as he fights.
