Nonito The Filipino Flash? Donaire says he weighed 114 pounds after a light workout today and is now concentrating on making sure he makes the 112 pound limit for his mandatory title defense against South Africa ?s Moruti Mthalane at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino on Sunday, Manila Time.

In an overseas telephone conversation with www.insidesports.ph, Standard Today and Viva Sports, Donaire said he was ?still working out to maintain the weight? and that after a workout on Sunday he weighed 113 pounds so it shouldn?t be a problem making the flyweight limit.

Donaire said he was feeling ? really good and feeling stronger.?

The stylish champion who won the title with the 2007 ?Knockout of the Year? when he nailed cocky Vic Darchinyan with a picture-perfect right hook noted that Mthalane doesn?t have a ?one punch knockout particularly against somebody strong.?

However, Donaire did give Mthalane credit for being in great condition and always moving forward although lacking in good lateral movements.

Donaire said he was looking forward to facing Mexican super flyweight warrior Jorge Arce which Top Rank promoter Bob Arum said he plans on staging in Manila early next year provided both Donaire and Arce win.

Donaire said ?that will be great and something I look forward to? saying that he wanted to fight somebody with a big name like Arce.
