TRIPLE WBO CHAMPIONSHIP IN NAGA, CEBU

Fight fans in Naga, Cebu are in for a fistic feast when well-known promoter Sammy Gello-ani stages his ?Saga At The City Of Naga? fight card featuring three WBO championship bouts on Saturday, October 4 at the Naga Sports Complex.

In a battle for the WBO Asia Pacific bantamweight title Ramie Laput (32-3, 17 KO?s) clashes with Thailand?s Mongkolchai Singmanasak (21-11, 8 KO?s) . In a WBO Asia Pacific championship bout Fernando Lumacad (17-1, 7 KO?s) takes on Thailand?s Saensaknot Or Muangklang (9-3, 2 KO?s) while in a WBO Asia Pacific Youth flyweight championship undefeated ?Marvelous? Marvin Sonsona (7-0, 6 KO?s) goes up against another promising Filipino Joel Rafols. (8-2-2, 0 KO?s).

The fight card is being staged by SGG Promotions in cooperation with Viva Sports and Tanduay, the No. 1 Rhum.

Laput, a stylish fighter from Davao is coming off a 4th round TKO over Tiny Tyson last August 26 while Mongkolchai won his last bout by a 6th round knockout over Mana Morakotgym on May 28 in Bangkok.

Lumacad won a unanimous decision over tough Donnie Mabao last July 29 while Saensaknoi also won by a decision over Rommel Asenjo on February 22.

Sonsona recently demolished John Naimes in Cebu City scoring a 1st round knockout on September 14 while Rafols won by unanimous decision over Renato Nival on June 12.

In a mini-flyweight bout undefeated Neil Mandate (2-0, 1 KO) squares off against Ryan Tampus (3-1, 3 KO?s) from the stable of Rex ?Wakee? Salud. This fight is expected to be explosive since Mandate won his last fight by a 1st round KO of Jestoni Tunacao while Tampus won by a 1st round TKO over Ging Dacoliat.

In a super bantamweight bout Gerry Pajal (2-0-1, 1 KO) and Kevin De La Cruz (2-2-1, 2 KO?s) trade punches over a fight scheduled for six rounds , Korea?s Jongwoon Choi takes on Jestoni Pepito and Rolando Magallano goes up against Dizon Kag-ong in a four round curtain raiser.
