Former World Boxing Council lightweight champion David Diaz says the ?Dream Match? between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and ?The Golden Boy? Oscar De La Hoya will be ?a good fight.?

Diaz spoke to www.insidesports.ph, Manila Standard and Viva Sports by overseas telephone from Chicago said ?this is like the icing on the cake that every fighter wants.?

Diaz who suffered a 9th round demolition at the hands of Pacquiao last June said ?definitely, Manny has a fighting chance.? He said that every fighter has a chance ?to go out there and prove that on any given night he could be the better fighter.?

At the same time Diaz said that Pacquiao along with celebrated trainer Freddie Roach ?got a good insight on it and I wouldn?t count Manny Pacquiao out? but said that De La Hoya has the advantage.

However, Diaz felt the fight was a no-win situation for De La Hoya because if he wins, people will say he beat a smaller fighter and if he loses, that will be even worse.

Pacquiao in the meantime played basketball according to his lawyer Franklin ?Jeng? Gacal and was in good spirits as he prepared for MP Promotions first boxing promotion in the US on Saturday at the Sycuan Resort and Casino in El Cajon, California which is a Philippines vs Mexico showdown.

The main event features world-rated North American Boxing Federation super bantamweight champion Bernabe Concepcion against Mexican champion Caro.
