DONAIRE SAYS NO WAY ANYONE WILL TAKE HIS TITLE

IBF flyweight champion Nonito ?The Filipino Flash? Donaire has always shown supreme confidence in himself no matter what his opponents say.

When cocky Vic Darchinyan shot his mouth off prior to their title fight on July 7, 2007 Donaire shut it in the ring with a picture-perfect left hook to stop the Australian.

After a successful title defense via an eighth round TKO over mandatory challenger Luis Maldonado of Mexico last December, Donaire who is now handled by Top Rank is seeing action after almost one year?s inactivity but that doesn?t bother him.

Donaire (19-1, 12 KO?s) who is from the same hometown as Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao ? General Santos City ? says ?I?ve worked too hard to earn this title and there is no way I?m letting anyone take it away from me.?

The smart young Filipino said ? (Moruti) Mthalane is going back to South Africa without the only souvenir he craves most ? my world championship belt.?

Mthalane who has a record of 22-1 with 15 knockouts is handled by well-known international promoter Branco Milenkovic and earned the mandatory shot at Donaire after scoring a lopsided twelve round decision over Hussein Hussein in an IBF title eliminator in South Africa .

Mthalane is making his US debut on the crest of a three-year, ten-bout winning streak, eight of which were by way of knockout.

Milenkovic has assured www.insidesports, Manila Standard and Viva Sports that Mthalane is a worthy challenger and will give Donaire the fight of his life.

Nicknamed ?Baby Face? Mthalane is known as South Africa ?s version of the Mexican legend and ?Baby Faced Assassin? Marco Antonio Barrera who lost twice to Pacquiao, the first in an eleventh round demolition in November 2003 and the second by a lopsided points decision.

Mthalane said the title fight against Donaire is his first out of South Africa and he intends ?to make the most of it." He said I?m going to be in the middle of the ring and Donaire will not have a problem finding me. Let?s see how he handles my pressire when he does.?

Donaire will headline ?Final Impact? alongside undefeated Julio Cesar Chavez who battles Matt ?The Predator? Vanda in a rematch at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel and Casino on November 1. Chavez won a highly controversial decision last July in a twelve round brawl in Mexico.
