MARQUEZ-CASAMAYOR TURNS IN IMPRESSIVE PHILIPPINE TV RATINGS

The Juan Manuel Marquez ? Joel Casamayor battle for the Ring Magazine lightweight belt which turned out to be a classic also turned in impressive TV ratings.
Telecast by the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN over its pre-eminent Channel 2, the fight had a high of 25.8 percent in Mega Manila and a slightly lower 23.6 in Mega Manila.
The much-talked-about fight also registered a 20.5 percent rating in the suburbs.
ABS-CBN which the previous Sunday telecast the Michael Katsidis ? Juan Diaz WBO title fight has a series of big fights lined up in the months ahead including the light welterweight title fight between Paul Malignaggi and Britain?s Ricky ?The Hitman? Hatton.
