
AJ BANAL SPECIAL FEATURE ON ?THE MAIN EVENT? TODAY

Undefeated AJ ?Bazooka? Banal will be highlighted in a special feature on the top-rated Viva Sports weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? on Sunday, July 13 at 9:00 p.m. over IBC 13.
The show sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum and Pagcor, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation will also provide viewers an insight into the fighting style of Rafael ?El Torito? Concepcion of Panama who battles Banal for the vacant WBA super flyweight title at the Cebu Coliseum on July 26.
The 19 year old Banal who has stepped up training at the famed ALA Gym has a record of 17-0-1 with 14 knockouts and is coming off a fourth round stoppage of WBC No.1 Caril Herrera last April 6.
Highlights of several Banal fights will be part of the special feature.
Concepcion, the 26 year old Panamanian with a record of 10-2 with 6 knockouts is currently training in the U.S under Pedro Romero and Hector Roca and has been sparring with a couple of hard-hitting bantamweights.
He is coming off a third round TKO over Jean Pierro Perez last March 27 and although Concepcion was dropped twice in the second round he fought back furiously to stop Perez in the next round.
Highlights of Concepcion?s fourth round knockout over Ricardo Molina to win the Fecarbox super flyweight title and his first fight against Perez which Concepcoon won by a split decision will give fight fans an idea of the tough fighter from Panama.
The WBA title fight will be telecast by the giant broadcast network ABS-CBN.
?The Main Event? will also telecast the fight between Filipino Glen Masicampo against undefeated Nigerian Oyewale Omotoso in Melbourne, Australia.
