Former Australian ?Promoter of the Year? Peter Maniatis is visiting Cebu on July 20 to film a documentary on the famed ALA Gym owned by respected boxing patron Tony Aldeguer.

Maniatis whose popular boxing show on Australia TV Channel 31 sometimes exchanges fight videos with the top-rated Viva Sports weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? said he also plans to interview Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao.

Maniatis plans to cover the WBA super flyweight championship battle between AJ ?Bazooka? Banal and Rafael Concepcion and the events surrounding the fight itself.

Maniatis had previously interviewed Pacquiao in the US and has a standing invitation for Pacquiao to Australia.

Maniatis said he plans to cover the ALA boxers training and the various facilities at the world famous gym and feature the history of the gym.

Maniatis said Tony Aldeguer ?has been very helpful in welcoming me to do this documentary and I would like to thank everyone at the ALA Gym for the opportunity. I have heard so much about the ALA boxers and the set-up of the gym that not only helps boxers in the sport but later on in life with their careers which is very important.?

The Maniatis documentary will also be telecast on ?The Main Event.?
