
Yor beats Salisad in technical decision, wants rematch

CROWD-FAVORITE Roherstrey Jhon “The Terminator” Yor remained undefeated by beating Jhon Paul “Tarantula” Salisad by a technical decision in the main event of the 4th Gov. RST Mixed Martial Arts Slugfest last Friday night, July 3 at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center in Koronadal City.
The 30-year-old Yor of Koronadal City complained that he was accidently hit on the groin in the 3rd round by Salisad.
Yor was not able to recover from the pain and so the fight was decided in the first two rounds.
“I was hit on the groin and I can’t continue,” said Yor.
The 17-year-old Salisad was on top of Yor after several changes in the first round.
In the second, Yor was leading but Salisad was able to grab down and hit him with his left and right punches on the face.
Salisad of Observe MMA Fight Club-Davao del Norte was dominating Yor at the start of the 3rd round before the incident occured.
Judge Dennis "Dojo" Quiñonero of Juego Todo saw it 19-all for a draw but the two judges scored it 19-18 and 20-18 for Yor.
"I will do a rematch this year in Makilala," said Yor.
Meanwhile, Marjun Ibones of Oxie Nils-Koranadal outslugged Michael Sardanas of Bandera Muay Thai-Davao in the main support event.
Limuel Malinao of MMAFit/CMMA scored a 1st round knockout over Danly Tanghinan of iFlex.
Jhon Mark Macababayao of Observe MMA turned his back to hit kicks against Malita’s Philip Latonio for a 1st round referee stoppage.
Paulo Garcon of MP Digos stopped Gie Mar Dela Cruz of Oxie Nils in 1st round.
Muhammad Angkad of Bandera halted JB Epefacio of FitMMA in the 1st round via a referee-stoppage.
Bryan Mariveles Orica of Oxie Nils downed Jerry Doven Banuelos of iFlex by 1st round RSC.
Edhexon Jay Devarbo of MP Digog outpunched Matt Mamaluba of Oxie in the 3rd round.
Jhonnyza Duran of FitMMA/Cenojas MMA stopped Cherry Ann Dayao of Aguila Gym-Davao in the 1st round.
Board Member Junneth Ines Hurtado was the tournament director while matchmaker was Jenery Quiñonero.
