Brian Norman Jr. Stops Josh Wagner in Two
NORFOLK, Va. (May 16, 2026) — Keyshawn Davis (15-0, 10 KOs) returned home to deliver the victory Norfolk had been waiting for.
The former world champion and Olympic silver medalist defeated Nahir Albright (17-3-1, 7 KOs) via unanimous decision Saturday evening at the Scope Arena.
The two first met in October 2023 in a bout that ended in a majority decision victory for Keyshawn that was later overturned. But this time, he closed the chapter with a dominant performance in Top Rank's inaugural DAZN event.
Keyshawn began the fight by firing hard jabs while taunting and grinning at Albright. By the third and fourth rounds, he started landing power shots.
But the Philadelphian came to fight, buckling Keyshawn with a sharp right hand in the fifth. The two continued trading and clinching, and frustration got the best of Keyshawn when he lifted Albright during a clinch and threw him to the canvas in the seventh round.
He was deducted two points. Soon after, Keyshawn began fighting with more urgency, driving home right hands in the ninth.
But it wasn’t until the championship rounds that he truly let his hands go, unloading combination after combination in search of a stoppage. Albright, however, refused to give it to him.
Keyshawn prevailed by scores of 117-109 and 118-108 twice.
Keyshawn said, "I felt amazing. I felt good. He’s a crafty fighter. He’s been around. I tried to go for the knockout. We all saw that he was hurt. I just didn’t get it. But I got the decision, and that’s all that matters.”
“He liked to punch and hold. He does that. So, he was on my neck, and I got angry and flipped him over.”
“I felt like I was beating him up in every round. What really made me pick it up is that he caught me with one good shot. And I was like, 'I’m about to beat you up now. You ain’t getting nothing else off.'”
Norman Scores TKO Win
In the co-feature, former world champion Brian Norman Jr. (29-1, 23 KO) registered a second-round TKO win against Canadian contender Josh Wagner (19-3, 10 KOs).
Norman took the center of the ring early, working behind a low left hand while jabbing Wagner. He also invested heavily to the body with hooks throughout the opening round.
In the second, Norman landed a leaping left hook that sent Wagner stumbling backward, setting off a flurry that produced the first knockdown. Wagner beat the count, but Norman quickly launched another attack to score a second knockdown. Wagner rose again, though he immediately complained of a shoulder injury.
Soon after, the ringside physician deemed Wagner unable to continue, prompting the referee to wave off the fight at 1:24 of the aforementioned round.
Norman said, “I came out trying to take his head out. I swung big. But then decided to chill, work off the jab and stick to my fundamentals. And then I got the job done.”
“Working the body shot was on my mind. I looked at him and saw that he wasn’t very strong in the stomach.”
“I’ve learned a lot with Ronnie Shields. I’m being more calm and cool. And this ring is my home now. We’ll see what’s next. No matter what, I’ll handle business.”
Welterweight: Kelvin Davis (16-1, 8 KOs) earned a 10-round split decision over Peter Dobson (17-4, 10 KOs). Davis built an early lead behind his outside boxing, while Dobson found success to the body in the middle rounds. The fight grew increasingly physical down the stretch, with both men trading in close quarters and spending extended stretches in the clinch. Scores: 98-92 Dobson, 99-91 and 97-93 Davis.
Featherweight: In his toughest assignment to date, Dominican contender Yan Santana (17-0, 13 KOs) defended his NABO title with a hard-fought 10-round unanimous decision over Cristian Cruz (24-8-2, 12 KOs). The aggressive Mexican southpaw dictated a competitive pace from the outset, making it difficult for Santana to land clean shots. Santana found success on the outside, though Cruz continued to apply pressure and force exchanges throughout. Scores: 96-94, 97-93, and 98-92.
Super Welterweight: Keon Davis (5-0, 3 KOs) outpointed Edwine Humaine Junior (9-3, 7 KOs) across six rounds of action, using his height and reach advantages to outland him in nearly every exchange. Scores: 60-54 3x.
Super Featherweight: Tacoma, Washington's rising prospect Dedrick Crocklem (7-0, 3 KOs) beat Eric Howard (7-5-0, 2 KOs) via six-round unanimous decision. Scores: 60-54 3x.
