Chess Kings Ready to Battle in Pacquiao 3x3 Chess Team Tournament at Lica Malls 500 Shaw

Two teams fielded by sportsman CK Ingles are all set to compete in the Manny Pacquiao Chess Philippines 3x3 (Tatluhan) Chess Team Tournament on April 19, 2026, at Lica Malls 500 Shaw along Shaw Boulevard, Mandaluyong City.

His entries are Team 1 – Chess Kings, composed of National Master Darry Bernardo, Cyrus Vladimir Francisco, and Rheybelle Obillo; and Team 2, consisting of Kelly Rancap, Vladimir Gonzales, and Vincent Ryu Dimayuga.

"We hope to perform well in this competition," said CK Ingles, an ROTC Champion from Mapua Institute of Technology.

Also seeing action is the Goldland Chess Club featuring NM Al-Basher "Basty" Buto, Ricardo Jimenez, and Noel Glifonea.

Meanwhile, Nelson Busa Jr., Adrian Perez, and Vincent Mariano will comprise the One Hit Delete Chess Team.

Other participating teams include the Maasin Builders Chess Team, owned by sportsman Juzail "kuyajaz" Maasin, fielding Michael Punzalan, Alvin Roma, and Micky Gilbuena; the M2 Constructura Yabut Construction Chess Team anchored by Kevin Arquero, Mark Anthony Yabut, and Amado Gregorio Jr.; and the Top Secret chess team made up of Sherwin Tiu, Raymark Advincula, and Luis Jacutina.

The one-day rapid tournament is jointly organized by John Salcedo, Jonas Silvano, and Kalaro Founder/CEO Jun Lasco, with the support of National Chess Federation of the Philippines (NCFP) Chairman/President Cong. Prospero Pichay Jr.

The champion team will take home P30,000, a trophy, and medals. The runner-up will receive P20,000 and a trophy, while the third-place team will bring home P10,000 and a trophy.

Teams placing 4th to 6th will get P8,000, P6,000, and P4,000 respectively, while those finishing 8th to 10th place will receive P3,000 each.

The top team in the Under 1900 category and the top team in the Under 1850 category will pocket P4,500 each, as will the top lady performer.

Individual gold medal winners from boards 1, 2, and 3 will receive P1,000 each.

The registration fee is P3,000.
