The Non-Master 2 × 2 Team Rapid Chess Tournament dubbed as Grudge Match is set to unfold on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at the Plaza Mall beside LRT 1 Libertad Station in Pasay City.
The one-day 7-round Swiss System format competition with a time control of 15 minutes plus 3 seconds increment welcomes participants of all ages, from children to adults.
Organized by Pasay Chess Federation, the champion team will win a cash prize of P15,000, while the runner-up will receive P10,000. The third placer will take home P7,000 as the fourth, fifth and sixth placers each pocket P5,000, P3,000 and P2,000, respectively.
Special awardees, such as top College, 1900, and 1850, will be given P1,500 apiece as well for the top performer in board 1 and board 2 , will each earn P1,000.
Registration fee is P1,400 (online) and P1,500 (on site). Non-refundable.
