MFPI 5th Mindanao Summit at Mt. Apo on February 19-22

THE 5th Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines Inc. [MFPI] Mindanao Summit will be held on February 19 to 22 at the country’s highest peak – Mt. Apo.

It is a joint event by CARE Group Davao Sur Mountaineering Club in partnership with the Local Government of Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur.

“We will be using the Sta. Cruz trail promotes responsible mountaineering,” said Rowena “Weng” Pacaldo, president of CARE Group.

Pacaldo is also the treasurer of Mindanao for MFPI.

Neil Mabini is president of MFPI while Cocoy Zetha is the vice-president for Mindanao.

Jelai Abrio is secretary while Juber Lugas and Michael Jabines are the Mindanao Board members.

CARE Group is hosting Mt. Apo climb and Basic Mountaineering Course [BMC] Training with certificate.

The registration of the member for Mt. Apo climb is P3,300 while for non-member is P3,500.

The inclusions are climb registration fee, guide fee, transportation basecamp to jump off, event shirt, ID bag tag, certificate, raffle ticket, resort entrance fee, seedling for the tree planting, social dinner and live band.

The registration for BMC for members is P1,100 each and non-members is P1,300.

“It will be held at the Bagobo-Tagabawa Cultural Village in Tibolo, Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur,” said Pacaldo.

The inclusions are BMC Certificate, event shirt, ID bag tag, certificate, raffle ticket, resort certificate, seedling for the tree planting and social dinner and live planting.

“Don’t miss this adventure of a lifetime. Let’s conquer Mt. Apo together!”, said Pacaldo.
