The modern, multi-million dollar city of Panama will host the World Boxing Ordinary Congress in 2026.

The Panamanian Olympic Boxing Federation, one of the most organized, responsible, and transparent in Latin America and among the most important in world Olympic boxing, has maintained the development of Olympic boxing, fostering dialogue, innovation, and extraordinary sporting excellence.

The Panamanian Olympic Boxing Federation has forged strong alliances and improved the conditions for its boxers in the various international competitions in which they participate.

Panama is participating in the III World Boxing Ordinary Congress in Rome, Italy, and was instrumental in the selection of former Kazakh world champion Gennady Golovkin as the new president of the recently formed organization, succeeding German Boris Van Der Vorst.

Thanks to the strong alliance between the Panamanian Boxing Federation, the National Government, Pandeportes (the Panamanian Sports Institute), the Olympic Committee, and the Armed Forces, Panamanian Olympic boxing has remained a vital force, becoming a benchmark in international Olympic boxing.

Its main leader, Dr. Tomas Cianca, along with soldier and national heroine Atheyna Bylon (silver medalist at Paris 2024), and renowned political leader Tomas Velasquez, who currently serves as president, will be key figures in guiding Panama to Los Angeles 2028.
