Veteran guard James Harden scored 55 points, setting a new franchise record for the Los Angeles Clippers in their 131-116 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday, November 22.

James Harden sank ten three-pointers and scored a season-high 55 points, marking his eleventh career performance near 55 points. His personal best is 61.

By halftime, he had already scored 35 points, the highest single-half total of the 2015-2016 season. Harden shot 17-for-26 from the field, 10-for-16 from three-point range, and 11-for-14 from the free-throw line.

The previous Clippers record was 52 points, shared by Charles Smith and Bob McAdoo.

Harden now enters history as the first player in NBA history to hold the single-game scoring record for two franchises, as he also holds the career-high 61 points in a game with the Houston Rockets after 17 seasons in the NBA.
