VINCE Paras of General Santos City will challenge reigning IBO World super flyweight champion Ricardo Malajika of South Africa on November 29 at Emperor Palace in Kempton Park, South Africa.

The 27-year-old Paras [24-3-1, 18KOs] will also fight for the International Boxing Federation [IBF] no. 2 eliminator against Malajika [16-2-0, 12KOs].

"Friday is my last sparring day. I have at least more than 100 rounds of sparring already,” said Paras,

Paras, who is trained by Bennie “Tatay” dela Peña, had two fights this year already.

"I'm excited for the match," said Paras, who has sparred with Reymart Gaballo, Abubakar Yanon, Lourinz Biasong and Jayson Mama.

“All I can say is, this is a good fight and my fists will only speak in the ring,” said Paras, who will be accompanied also by manager JC Manangquil.

Paras said: “The knockout will come, as long as I focus on our game plan.”

Paras beat Mohammed Shamim of India by a technical knockout in the 3rd round last February 16 at the Arena Larkin in Johore Barru, Malaysia.

He then stopped Sarawut Thawornkhan of Thailand in the 4th round by a TKO to win the IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight title last July 29 in General Santos City.

The 27-year-old Malajika, on the other hand, has defended the IBO World super flyweight title four times already.

He first won the vacant IBO World super flyweight title by a unanimous decision over Kevin Luis Munoz of Argentina last November 2, 2023 at Emperors Palace.

In his last fight, Malajika recently stopped Mama by a 5th round technical knockout last August 9 at Emperor Palace.
