Earlier today Rich Jacobs, Chief Executive Officer of global broadcast and streaming platform PLAYER+ and Gianluca Di Caro, Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the British & Irish Boxing Authority (BIBA) jointly announced that Player+ have become Official Partners with the London based Professional Boxing Governing, Sanctioning and Licensing organisation.

Rich Jacobs, CEO of Player+ on making the announcement said “We’re honoured to partner with BIBA and bring the December 5 York Hall lineup LIVE to fight fans around the world on our StagePlayer+ Pay Per View platform — headlined by Hunter vs Frankham with a very strong under-card.

At Player+ we’re focused on giving fans a premium, seamless and genuinely global viewing experience, matching BIBA’s commitment to the highest professional standards in the sport.

And this is just the start — the first step in a long-term partnership between Player+ and BIBA built on quality, consistency and a fan-first approach.

Together, we’re not just showing great fights — we’re helping shape what boxing looks like in the digital era.”

Gianluca Di Caro CEO and Vice President of BIBA then added “We have actively been searching for an official broadcast partner for a number of years, but our search for a partner that meets all our parameters had been fruitless, that is until now as Player+ ticks every single box.

“We really wanted a broadcast partner that has a genuine global reach, not just via an on-line streaming platform, it was imperative in our view that the events broadcast should be viewable on boxing fans TVs, as well as phones, tablets and computers globally.

“Player+ meets every single parameter, not only is it available on-line and accessible on the fans phones, tablets and computers but more importantly on their televisions, as Player+ has a Smart TV reach to over 500 Million homes globally.

“The timing of this partnership couldn’t be better, with William Storey recently announcing the Rich Energy event at York Hall in Bethnal Green, London on the 5th December headlined by American #1 and World ranked #10 Heavyweight Michael ‘Bounty’ Hunter versus Wisbech’s unbeaten rising star Eli Frankham, which will be the first event broadcast under this exciting new partnership.

“In 2026, besides the broadcasting of the William Storey promoted Rich Energy series of events, this partnership will also present the fans some seriously exciting small hall events around the country promoted by Mollie Edgington (TFM Boxing Promotions) and her regional events co-promoters Sean Keshahoya (Wirral Fight Club) and John Bowers (JBF Management), as well as events promoted by six time, five division World Champion Lee ‘Aberdeen Assassin’ McAllister, at the Rich Energy Arena venue in Aberdeen, including the highly successful ‘Let Battle Commence’ series and as the year progresses hopefully events from all BIBA promoters.”

As mentioned by both Rich Jacobs and Gianluca Di Caro the first International Boxing event that will be broadcast LIVE on Player+ is the William Storey promoted Rich Energy event headed by Michael ‘Bounty’ Hunter (24-1-2) versus unbeaten Eli Frankham (9-0-0) that takes place at the iconic York Hall on Friday the 5th December 2025.
