Robert Racasa Finishes 9th in World Memory Championships

Filipino memory athlete Robert Racasa made the Philippines proud after finishing 9th overall at the World Memory Championships, a grueling three-day (Nov.7-9, 2025) contest that brought together 190 competitors from around the world held in Mumbai, India.
Racasa, one of Asia’s most seasoned memory masters, delivered strong performances across several demanding disciplines. Among his best results were an 8th place finish in the Five-Minute Numbers, 6th place in Binary Numbers, 6th in Speed Cards, 6th in Hour Cards, and an impressive 5th place in the Hour Numbers event.
The competition, recognized as the pinnacle of memory sports, saw elite participants from countries such as the United States, France, Austria, Australia, Italy, Germany, Norway, Uzbekistan, India, and Nepal. Contestants were challenged to memorize large volumes of data—from long strings of numbers and binary codes to shuffled decks of cards and lists of random words—all within strict time limits.
“I’m honored to have represented the Philippines on the world stage,” Racasa said after the event. “This result shows that with discipline, strategy, and dedication, Filipino athletes can compete among the world’s best in mind sports.”
Racasa, who has been instrumental in promoting memory sports in the Philippines, is already preparing for his next challenge—the Asia Open International Memory Championships, scheduled for November 15–16 in Hyderabad, India.
His recent top-10 finish further solidifies his reputation as one of Asia’s foremost mental athletes and continues to inspire a new generation of Filipinos to pursue excellence in the growing field of memory sports.
His participation would be possible with undying support of The Philippine Sports Commission, Hotel Sogo, Cutting Edge, Bicycle Playing Cards, Sportsman Marlon Manalo and PCC .
