FORT WORTH, Texas (Nov. 7, 2025) — Undefeated knockout artist Vergil Ortiz Jr. and seasoned contender Erickson “The Hammer” Lubin both made weight Friday ahead of their highly anticipated clash for the WBC Interim Super Welterweight Title, headlining a stacked card this Saturday, Nov. 8, at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The event is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and will be streamed live worldwide on DAZN.
Ortiz (23-0, 21 KOs) of Grand Prairie, Texas, tipped the scales at 153.8 pounds, while Florida’s Lubin (27-2, 18 KOs) came in at 154 pounds—right on the limit for their 12-round main event. The matchup pits Ortiz’s raw power and relentless pressure against Lubin’s sharp southpaw skills in what promises to be one of the most explosive super welterweight battles of the year.
