THE North Cotabato Province karate-do team is now ready to see action in the coming Batang Pinoy 2025 slated in General Santos City.

It is represented by the Antipas Karatedo Association Inc. [AKAI] led by 6th Dan Blackbelt Reynold S. Alejo.

“We are ready to play and more players will play now because Gensan is only near,” said Alejo, who is the Regional Director 12 of the national sports association - Karate Pilipinas Sports Federation Inc. [KPSFI].

Last year, the NCP team only sent 10 players to Palawan.

“But were able to bring home three golds, one silver and four bronze medals,” said Alejo.

The team, which will leave for Gensan on October 24, is now composed of 31 players with three coaches out of the 330 delegation of NCP.

“Hopefully our medals will increase this year,” said Alejo.

The NCP delegates will meet Gov. Lala Taliño Mendoza on Tuesday, October 21 for a send-off delegation.

Alejo is the head coach of the karate-do team while the two assistants are Angelyn Garcia and Donelyn Dela Cruz.

Palawan gold medalists Jackie Diaz, Gavin Blake Osorio and Josiah Joshua Lubaton will again play together with bronze winners Regin Carl Chino Caruana, Ryhlle Somo and Zellaine Brethanye Elarde.
