Garde loses WBC Asia flyweight title

ARNOLD “Destroyer” Garde failed to continue his winning ways by dropping a unanimous decision to Thananchai Charunphak of Thailand in a battle for WBC Asian flyweight title last September 26 at the Suamlun Night Bazaar in Ratchadaphisek, Bangkok.
The 35-year-old Garde of President Roxas now has 16 loses against 13 wins and six draws while Charunphak improved wins with 28 against two loses.
Meanwhile, 16-year-old Aisha Kamaleldin of Egypt beat Kanyarat Nunol of Thailand by a unanimous decision to bag the vacant Asian Boxing Federation female super flyweight title in the undercard.
