LIVE ON DAZN FROM FANTASY SPRINGS RESORT CASINO

INDIO, CALIF. (Sept. 20, 2025) — In a unified and undisputed doubleheader filled with explosive knockouts, Golden Boy delivered a stacked card from Indio, Calif., live on DAZN. In the main event, presented in association with Miguel Cotto Promotions, Villalba, Puerto Rico’s unified WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine minimumweight world champion Oscar “El Pupilo” Collazo (13-0, 10 KOs) successfully defended his titles against crafty challenger Jayson “Striker” Vayson (14-2-1, 8 KOs) of Veruela, Agusan del Sur, Philippines. The fight, scheduled for 12 championship rounds, was halted at 1:41 of the seventh after Vayson’s corner threw in the towel, sealing another statement win for Collazo.

“I had a good stoppage win, I was putting on the pressure,” said unified champion Oscar Collazo. “The seventh round was when we were just going to throw and throw, and we got the stoppage. He did surprise me; he caught me with a good body shot that I was able to recover from. I loved it though; he was a good fighter. Shoutout to Golden Boy, Miguel Cotto Promotions and DAZN. I believe that in 2026 I will be the next undisputed champion for Puerto Rico.”

In the co-main event, presented in association with Sampson Boxing, boxing’s youngest undisputed world champion Gabriela “Sweet Poison” Fundora (17-0, 9 KOs) delivered another statement performance, stopping Alexas Daria “Iron Lady” Kubicki (13-2, 2 KOs) of Edmonton, Canada, via seventh-round TKO. Scheduled for 10 rounds, Fundora took command from the opening bell, systematically breaking down the determined Kubicki to successfully defend her WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF and Ring Magazine world titles.

“It feels great to be back in Coachella and to return with a knockout win,” said undisputed champion Gabriela Fundora. “I knew she would come at me 1,000 percent, but we came in at a million. I adjusted to her style, trusted my corner, and once they told me I had her hurt, I pressed. Honestly, I felt I hurt her from the very first punch. Now I’ll talk to my team — Oscar De La Hoya, Eric and Sampson — to see what’s next. I’m even considering moving down a division, but we’ll see.”

Also on the DAZN-televised card, 2024 Olympian and decorated amateur Ruslan Abdullaev (3-0, 1 KO) of Uzbekistan went the distance in an eight-round super lightweight bout against Las Vegas’ rugged Kevin Johnson (12-8, 8 KOs). Abdullaev controlled the pace throughout, earning unanimous scores of 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73.

Bakersfield’s Joel Iriarte (9-0, 8 KOs) dazzled with a third-round knockout over Tijuana’s Eduardo Hernandez (8-4, 5 KOs). Iriarte dropped Hernandez with a crushing overhand left, prompting the referee to wave off the welterweight bout at 2:06 of the third round of the scheduled six rounds. Kicking off the broadcast, Coachella’s Grant Flores (12-0, 9 KOs) impressed in a hard-fought eight-round super welterweight contest against Brooklyn veteran Courtney Pennington (17-10-3, 7 KOs). In a back-and-forth battle, Flores showed poise and adaptability to outclass the resilient Pennington. The judges scored the fight 80-71, 80-71 and 79-72, all for Flores.

On the preliminary card, former Mexican Olympian Gael “El Terror” Cabrera (9-0, 6 KOs) delivered fireworks with a first-round stoppage of General Santos City’s Judy “Stingray” Flores (14-5, 8 KOs). Cabrera ended the scheduled eight-round featherweight clash with a vicious body shot at 2:59 of the opening round. In a six-round super middleweight matchup, Jalisco’s Javid Ramirez (15-0, 7 KOs) dominated Argentina’s Brian Arregui (11-7, 7 KOs), earning a clean sweep on the scorecards with three identical tallies of 60-54. The night opened with Uruguay’s Adriana Pineiro (9-0, 1 KO) scoring a unanimous decision over Los Angeles’ Gloria Munguilla (8-2) in an eight-round flyweight bout. Judges turned in scores of 80-72, 79-73 and 79-73 in favor of Pineiro.
