Andrade, Garras rule Milo marathon in Tagum

JOERGE Andrade and Ariela Garras ruled the 42-kilometer footrace in the National Milo Marathon held in Tagum City last Sunday, September 7.

The 32-year-old Andrade of Digos City clocked two hours, 41 minutes and 30 seconds at the New Tagum City Hall.

He was followed by Rino Satingan [2:50:01] in second place. Third was Kyle Cruz [3:05:15].

Garras, 26, on the other hand, topped the distaff side with a time of 3:55:03.

Second was Karen Limas [3:55:41] followed by Evangeline Medillo [4:21:28].

Meanwhile, Lloyd Prado and Mea Gey Adialiaan Ninuga won the 21-kilometer race.

Prado timed at 1:10:27 for the men’s category.

He was followed by Mark Luigi Joyce [1:11:15] and Jeff Petallane [1:15:24] as second and third, respectively.

Ninuga took the women’s category at 1:32:40 followed by May Angelie Mag-aso [1:37:50] and Antonette Bautista [1:55:33].

More than 8,000 runners joined the first Milo marathon in Tagum.

“We’re happy because many participated in the first year of Tagum,” said race director Kenneth Sai of Kinetix Sports.
