
Bambam will flight ‘clean & disciplined’ against Requito

BAMBAM ‘The Iron Man” Thounaojam of India will fight “clean and disciplined” against local bet Japeth “Pinnacle’ Requito of Tagum City on August 31 in the “Reality Fighting League 3: Rise of Heroes” at the Immanuel School of Davao in NHA Buhangin, Davao City.
“I will show to him how to fight clean and disciplined,” said the 23-year-old Thounaojam, who is accompanied by his manager and translator Joychand Moirangthem Singh.
The 5-foot-5 Thounaojam, a flyweight, has been practicing mixed martial arts for seven years.
Bambam, who is from the Aztecs Fights Studio, has a total of 16 wins with two loses.
Thounaojam, who is from Imphal, Manipur. will be the first Indian, who will fight in RFL MMA.
Thounaojam arrived with Singh last Wednesday in Davao.
Requito, on the other hand, joined the press conference with his sparring partner James Ortiz.
“I may have the striking edge against him, I will try to look for a quick win,” said Requinto at the DSA Forum in SM Davao.
Requinto, who fights out of the Rush Boxing gym sports a 5-2 win-loss record.
Their main bout will feature five rounds and will be part 18 scheduled matches that include two Ladies divisions.
Also present yesterday were RFL president Alma Rhea Alojipan and event director Lloyd Anthony Abucayan.
“We are thankful that Bambam is here to play. He is one of India’s rising forces in combat sports!” said Alojipan.
