Pacquiao-Barrios Betting Odds in Las Vegas: Where Are Bettors Placing Their Money?

LAS VEGAS, USA — As of today, the bookmaker at the MGM Grand Las Vegas, BetMGM, has the odds set at Pacquiao +225, Barrios -300.

What do these odds mean?

Let's break down these MGM betting odds for the Pacquiao vs. Barrios fight.

Pacquiao +225: This means Pacquiao is the underdog. If you bet $100 on Pacquiao, you'll win $225 if he pulls off the upset. The "+" sign indicates the amount you'll win for every $100 you bet.

Barrios -300: This means the Mexican champion, Mario Barrios, is the favorite. If you bet $300 on Barrios, you'll win $100 if he wins the fight. The "-" sign indicates the amount you need to bet to win $100.

What else?

Well, for those betting "experts," Barrios is expected to win on Saturday (Sunday morning in the Philippines), and the odds are currently against Pacquiao.

So, if you want to bet on Pacquiao, you'll win more money if he wins because he's considered less likely to win. As we all know, Pacquiao's age has a lot to do with experts thinking that he will be defeated by the young gun.

If you want to bet on the younger, taller Barrios, you'll need to bet more money to win $100, because the Mexican is more likely to win (according to them. But we shall see).

Current Odds: The current odds are slightly different across bookmakers, with Pacquiao ranging from +210 to +275 and Barrios ranging from -250 to -370. However, the general consensus among bookmakers here in Las Vegas remains the same: Barrios is favored to win.

Will that happen?

Nobody knows, especially in boxing. While Pacquiao fans pray for his win, "experts" will coolly consider him en route to a defeat.

But let's remember, Pacquiao is an old master at beating the odds, isn't he? However, at 46, can he beat the odds again?

Earlier this year, Pacquiao's own bet was on regaining his seat at the Philippine Senate. He lost that bet.

Now, he is betting that he can become a world champion again. Will he win this bet?

We'll soon find out. Wishing the Pacman the best of luck!
